Kids Heart Challenge

Every year, we here in the Health & Physical Education at Montgomery Elementary School participate in the Kids Heart Challenge (KHC). Our goal with this fund raiser is to raise money for the American Heart Association (AHA) as we collaboratively join the fight against heart disease. This year, our goal is to raise $25,000. During the KHC, we educate our students about heart healthy practices, foods, and heart-healthy exercises. Part of this education will be the participation in a variety of jump rope activities and games in PE. Students in Kindergarten and First-Grade will learn and practice the skill of jump rope, and learn about the importance of cardiovascular exercises.
